Missionary Ridge Real Estate has exploded in the past several years; just as many areas in Chattanooga, Tennessee have. If you happen to own real estate in the Missionary Ridge neighborhood, you’ll be pleased do know your home has, in all likelihood, increased in value significantly.
In December of 2023, a 3,700 square foot home was listed for $975,000 and sold for $945,000. It was under contract within 8 days and just closed in January 2024. That same house sold in 2020 for $640,000.
In 3 short years, the owners of that Missionary Ridge home made over $300,000.
Thinking of Selling? Now is a great time for anyone living in Missionary Ridge / Chattanooga Tennessee to sell their home. Despite higher mortgage rates, homes are selling….and quickly. Mortgage rates may be higher than we’ve been used to but they’re still not ‘impossibly’ high. They’re manageable. And, in all likelihood, we’ll see interest rates in the 6’s later this year.
Very little is on the market right now in Missionary Ridge. It’s still early in the year and Buyers are ramping up for the Spring Season. Word to the wise: Don’t overprice your home. That’s the worst thing a Seller can do. Your absolute best Buyers will arrive to view your home in the first 30 days it’s listed. If they take a look and feel it’s overpriced they’ll move on to something else. If they feel it’s priced well, they’ll make an offer.
The last thing you want to do is reduce your price and experience successive price reductions over time leaving Buyers wondering: What’s wrong with the house? You’ll end up with a lower price than you would have had it been priced accurately from the beginning.
