May 17, 2024 – After a sluggish start to the Chattanooga Real Estate Market this year with limited inventory, more Sellers are now entering the market.
At the time of publishing current home inventory in the Chattanooga, Tennessee, Ooltewah Tennessee and North Georgia areas is listed on the Chattanooga Multiple Listing Service as 2,118 homes.
For most of this year, inventory has remained around the 1,900 mark. As soon as homes have been listed, they’ve been going under contract. So inventory has remained stable over the first four months of 2024.
Now, in May, we’re seeing consistent home inventory exceeding 2,000 homes. This is very good news for Buyers in the area. As more competition hits the housing market, Buyers can take more time evaluating and viewing homes while helping to keep prices in check. Sellers need to be sure they’re priced well. Overpricing has been a concern Spring 2024 with many price reductions happening each week. Price your homes well and accurately now.
